About the project


The E-LEAD SPORTS project transforms sports education by integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and adaptive learning technologies into curricula and training methodologies. It addresses the digital gap in sports education through the development of an AI-powered e-learning platform designed for trainers, coaches, and students.

The project engages over 1,000 participants from European universities, VET centres, and sports academies, creating a collaborative ecosystem for digital innovation in sports education.

Pilot implementations

ensuring the platform’s effectiveness, usability, and scalability across different educational environments. The project adopts innovative teaching approaches such as gamification, flipped classroom models, and problem-based learning, enriched with AI-driven adaptive learning, motion analysis tools, and immersive AR/VR simulations.

These approaches enhance learning experiences, support practical skill development, and strengthen digital competencies in sports education.

The project contributes to improved learning outcomes, modernised teaching practices, and broader institutional adoption of the platform across at least 20 universities and sports academies. It promotes inclusive sports education by providing access to advanced digital tools for diverse learners, including individuals with disabilities.

Long-term sustainability is supported through MOOCs, certification opportunities, and expanded partnerships, strengthening the project’s impact on sports education practices and policy across Europe.
